Kari Sliva

I’m currently the Marketing and Communications Specialist for a city in the greater Phoenix area. I have been writing all my life in one form or another: television news as a multimedia journalist; press releases; scripts, talking points and speeches for elected officials; digital content for websites, social media and billboards; corporate reports; newsletters and newspaper. My Bachelors is in Broadcasting and almost attained a Masters in Film & Media at ASU but life intervened when we adopted two children. I have been researching and writing script pages for a specific subject matter for over 20 years- the stories of Lewis and Clark. I was honored to have served on the L&C Bicentennial Commission for the State of Iowa and have personally traveled 1000’s of miles along the trail as part of my research. I’ve written hundreds of script pages and have always believed it would make an incredible drama/adventure series. And now that series have become more popular through streaming my dream would be to have one of my scripts optioned, or work on that production in any way my talents or experience would serve. I’d love to work in a writers room on any project but am especially drawn to biopic and period pieces.
