• Howard is currently pitching IN THE GROOVE. A comedy-drama about the '90s music business.
• He has written the pilot and bible for WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS—based on his series of sci-fi books—and he has written the pilot for a limited series, COMPROMISE, about the failure of Reconstruction.
• Howard's writing career, as an editor and a freelancer, has been sidetracked by successful stints in the music biz. One of the bands he managed sold over 2 million units.
• Edited the 2,300-page manuscript of If They Move … Kill’em: The Life and Times of Sam Peckinpah by David Weddle (Atlantic/Grove Press) which ended up being 600 pages long.
• Collaborator — writer and interviewer — on Among the Mansions of Eden: Tales of Love, Lust, and Land in Beverly Hills by David Weddle (William Morrow/HarperCollins).
• Freelance writer for many publications including Los Angeles Times Magazine and Fuel.
