Sheila Tejada was born and raised in Southern California. Her parents came to America from the Philippines with one suitcase to their name. From her parents, Sheila grew up learning how to take risks, work hard and follow her dreams.
She recently filmed a comedic spot on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (ABC) opposite Guillermo, Jimmy Kimmel's sidekick, and played a nursing home attendant in "General Hospital" (ABC) opposite Vernee Watson-Johnson.
Sheila was a principal character in the multi-award winning indie comedy feature (32 festival wins) "Driving While Black" and acted opposite of Denise Crosby ("The Walking Dead") in Showtime's acclaimed series, "Ray Donovan."
She is a stage trained actress and has a B.A. in Drama from UC Irvine and was awarded with the Claire Trevor School of the Arts award and was a member of the International Honorary Thespian Society in high school. She continues to study the craft with master acting coaches in Hollywood. Sheila was Miss Cerritos 2008 and rode the Rose Parade float for her city and is also a professional singer. She was a finalist in MTV's Little Talent Show when she was 19 years old. In addition to acting and singing, she does voiceover work, performs stand-up comedy, trains at UCB for improv and runs marathons.
