Derek Winnert is a leading UK film critic and author currently working for Shortlist, The London Film Review, Onemetal, ILoveMediaCity, cubed3, Letterboxd, Universal Film Magazine, UK Film Review, jonesyinc, The Void, Fotorater magazine, Celebritext and the Film Review annual. His movie reviews, articles and interviews have appeared in TV Times, What’s On TV, TV & Satellite Week, The Times, The Guardian, The Daily Mail. He is the author of The Virgin Encyclopedia of the Movies, The Film & Video Guide and a biography of Barbra Streisand. His radio and TV gigs include LBC, GLR, Radio Manchester and Three Counties Radio, GMTV and Live TV! A member of the Film Section of London Critics Circle for 20 years, he has interviewed many cinema greats and seen more movies than Gordon Ramsay has cooked hot dinners.
