About Tess

Hi! My name is Tess Trotter. I was born and raised in Southern California, specifically a small town about 30 miles east of LA called La Verne. I have a background in performing, so I grew up dancing, which I continued to do in college at Georgetown University. And it was at Georgetown that I found theater, and really enjoyed my involvement in the Black Theater Ensemble, both on stage and behind the scenes. I am very new to writing, which I just started dabbling in last year. Two other friends and I created and shot a comedic web series last summer, which launched on TikTok. This series is based on our own personal experiences in LA. Our next goal is to create a full-length pilot script for the series. So I am very eager to learn and excited to be here!
