  • CROSSING OVER

    CROSSING OVER (2019)
Film (short) by Simon R Pires - No Input Productions Director A Short Dark Comedy Film @crossingovershortfilm Creators Note Welcome to No Input’s first major project. We’re small but still growing. Crossing Over will be our flagship project, and we hope you will join us for the ride. It’s been a struggle for some of us, but we are slowly realising our dream, to become an independent film company. We sincerely hope you can help us become just that and lend us your support. When coming up with Crossing Over, all I thought, what would it be like to have a talk with Death? Would he/she be evil or good? Would Death sound like a demon or an angel? Did it have a nationality? Exploring more of this idea, I realised that he has always been portrayed as either evil or misunderstood in most films. I wanted this death to be shown as a regular Joe, but he’s the Reaper, an entity doing his job, collecting souls. The comedy comes from his interactions with those he collects. It will stem from the idea that, as humans, we are most likely to try anything (even bribery) to stay alive. However, on the flip side, we get to see what the Reaper feels and what it’s like on the other side.
