Nykia Sinclair

Nykia Sinclair is a filmmaker born and raised in Macon, Georgia. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Cinematography and a Master’s in Film Production. She has worked for various companies within the industry including production companies and start-up television networks as a cinematographer and editor.

She found her passion behind the camera working as a director of photography for which she has won a Suncoast Emmy for Best Photography and has been a part of a Telly award-winning production. She also has experience in editing, sound mixing, producing, and directing. Her directorial debut Remember Paris?, a short story about an elderly couple navigating through the wife’s Dementia diagnosis was submitted to student BAFTAs by her former professors. She also co-founded a production company called Rose Noir Media, LLC. Nykia wants to use visual storytelling to tell stories that matter and shed light on issues facing society. She hopes to spark the conversations needed for humanity to begin to grow positively in future generations.
