About Paula

Paula Murrain, a former New Yorker currently living in Maryland, has worked in the Public Health and Emergency Management field for over 15 years. She is now tapping into her creative side through gardening and writing.

Her love of movies helped form her interest in screenwriting.. She currently writes what she calls smart thrillers and she writes stories with a supernatural spin. This allows her true voice to shine through. Her true voice consists of aspects of her science and government background married with her love of storytelling.

Paula uses writing as a stress release and a way to escape. All of her writings contain a character with many personality traits similar to her own, which allows the audience to gain a better understanding of who she is.

Her love of nature is the inspiration for her children’s books designed to spark interest in the environment. Her books will hopefully answer questions posed by kiddos curious about the amazing world around them.

The Tree in the Middle of the City, I See a Bee, Rainbows and Raindrops, and Flowers and Trees are the four completed works of a series for children.
