LaTisha Joiner

I'm 33 years old, and am originally from Killeen, Texas. Reading and writing have always been hobbies of mine since I was a child. I ultimately took writing seriously at the age of 15 and started writing my first poetry book, called "Free Spirited." I was able to have it published 7 years later once it was completed, which was a huge and fulfilling accomplishment. Since then, I always felt I could do much more with my writing, but I decided to take the more practical route and pursue my degree in Education. Working in Higher Education has been a true passion of mine, but over the years, I've wondered what life would have been like if I had stuck with writing and done more with it.

After working in Higher Education for over 6 years, I have decided to take a leap of faith and really give my writing another shot. While looking for employment, I have taken my free time to work on a new and exciting project that has re-sparked my light in my love for telling stories. I only hope and pray that my new path leads to a promising and more fulfilling future.
