KATHY, 22 and RAYMOND, 23 witness a murder and are taken hostage by the killer. The killer falls in love with Kathy, who knows she must use that love to escape.
SYNOPSIS:
KATHY, 22, a beautiful Asian/American student and her friend RAYMOND, 23 a bartender, are closing down the joint where Raymond works, when a middle aged guy walks in, starts throwing back shots and throwing down hundred dollar bills, demanding that Kathy strip on the now defunct strip stage at the back of the bar. After he throws down thousands in hundred dollar bills, Kathy finally complies. After all, tuition is high.
Raymond tries to cut the guy off, but he keeps throwing down hundreds, and begging for one more dance, and "Please don't push me out there." But Raymond finally ushers the man out the door, slams it behind him, and looks through the peephole to witness the man drop to his knees in front of WILLY, 52, who puts the barrel of his sawed off shotgun into the man's mouth and pulls the trigger.
Willy knows he's been made. He runs back to his car and jumps in, ordering his lackey side kick, JACK, 45, who is his driver, to drive around to the back alley.
Kathy and Raymond make their getaway, but not by much. They go to the cops, where they are interviewed by DAVID LOMAX, 52, a weathered detective, tired of it all, but still squeezing every bit of info out of them that he can, because he knows what they witnessed was a hit by a professional hitman, who will sure as hell go looking for Raymond and Kathy. And he has to stop him from getting to them.
Willy tells his employer what happened. Willy is an out-of-town hire so he wouldn't be made, and he knows the game well enough to know that since he was made, now he's on the run from his employer and the cops.
Jack, the driver, has no idea what side he's on, but after Willy offers him the wrong end of his shotgun if he doesn't keep driving him, Jack, scared shitless, decides to go with Willy, because he watched the lunatic in action.
Willy manages to take Raymond and Kathy hostage, his only hope for survival. At least for a while.
Kathy knows that the only way she will stay alive is to use her sexuality. She sees the way Willy looks at her and she knows he wants her. And she has to keep it that way, without giving in, but without cutting him off. She can see that Willy is falling in love with her. A frightening thought, but a great survival tool.
David, our relentless cop, knows that if he doesn't find Willy soon, the two young people will be dead, and his conscience is heavy enough.
Finally, David and his young partner, SANDY, find them.
Knowing David has found them, and is waiting outside, Kathy uses all her guile and beauty to save herself and Raymond.
