Will Remains

I was raised in the redneck sticks of central Maryland halfway between a 1/5 mile dirt track speedway and an institution for the criminally insane, where summer nights were bookended by the post-twilight crash and roar of stock car races and the pre-dawn wail of the prison’s escapee alarm. And yet my childhood was not nearly as interesting as I wish it were.

I blog on writing topics, with the occasional digression. My personal writing follows a similar track, alternating between literary, mystery, fantasy, science fiction, and autofiction. I'm seeking community with anyone exploring and expressing creativity with honesty, integrity, and enthusiasm. Creativity thrives with shared inspiration, companionship, learning, and awe.

From 2008 - 2016, I owned and operated a small press specializing in short genre fiction. Six anthologies and multiple journals are still in print. Since 2007, I've worked as a writer full-time. I have experience curating and editing multiple blogs; producing in-person and online seminars; writing, editing, and presenting podcasts and webinars; and developing virtual learning modules.
