SYNOPSIS:

Martin, a young man with a strong moral code is terminated from his corporate job for speaking out against an illicit deal. Scrambling to find a way to make ends meet, he decides to take an off-the-books job as a package courier. He soon finds this life is completely different than his former 9 to 5. As he adjusts to the rugged and unregulated universe the delivery service has to offer, he finds he must develop a new set of skills to survive it. Once he has the hang of his new vocation, a curve ball is thrown his way when his bike is stolen. Undeterred he presses on to make a living. Finally, he finds one of his last deliveries of the day to a former colleague from the corporate world, Al. Al threatens to out Martin for collecting unemployment and working tax-free. The tables are turned when Al's mistress comes to the door during the delivery transaction. Martin cunningly fires back at Al that if he plans to out him, then he will tell the world of his extra-marital affair. Al retreats and Martin sweetens the deal by demanding the bike he sees in the apartment. Martin rides off into the sunset, only to hit a pothole and go over the handlebars.

I like the title, Jim Search, and "an idealistic young man takes an off-the-books delivery job" got me interested in seeing this show, but I think "only to find his past has more than a pink slip for him" is vague. I suggest explaining that in more detail.

Maurice Vaughan Thanks for taking a look at it and giving the feedback. I was toying with the idea of a cliffhanger at the end of it but will go back and give some more detail.

You're welcome, Jim Search. I think explaining the last part will help you get producers, production companies, etc. interested. I used to be vague in loglines, and it cost me opportunities.
