About David

David Pope is a script consultant and screenwriter and working internationally.
He has worked as script consultant on projects around the globe including work with Academy Award, BAFTA and European Film Award nominated producers and screenwrit-ers and multiple national film funds.
Recent script consultation credits include TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT, a candidate for Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award 2019 and TRUTH OR JUSTICE, a candidate for Best International Film Academy Award 2020. He consulted on the feature film MAGIC MOUNTAINS, distributed 2021, and SPLENDID ISOLATION, (premiered IFFR 2022), both with director Urszula Antoniak and drama series IMPERIAL SPY for Fremantle (AMERI-CAN GODS, DEUTSCHLAND 83) and THE GUILT TRIP for RTE

He is the annual consultant / moderator for the Rotterdam Lab at CineMart and co-founder of Stowe Story Labs in the US.

David is a creative consultant on Rawi Screenwriting Lab for Royal Film Commission - Jor-dan and is a screen specialist in script consultancy working with production companies through the FOCUS scheme, supported by Screen Scotland.
He is a frequent script consultant for MIDPOINT Institute including having lead MIDPOINT Intensive in Lithuania and Montenegro
Recent screenwriting commissions for production companies include writing the latest draft of feature film TEMPELHOF, the feature film RULIN from source material and currently rewriting the latest draft of the feature film SUMMER OF 81.

Other credits include Directing the award winning feature film MILES FROM NOWHERE.

In addition, David has a slate of projects in development as screenwriter through advance films.

David sits on the film committee of the Writers Guild of Great Britain.

He has worked as module leader on both BA Filmmaking and MA Screenwriting courses.
