Originally from Colorado, I moved to London and studied Design for Performance at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. I have been working in the film industry for the last five years, occasionally dabbling in the worlds of live performance and fashion. My mother is a retired historical costumer and under her tutelage I learned concrete skills such as tailoring, making, and pattern drafting - which I apply to my design process; which means I have a full understanding of both design, and practicality of construction. I am also a hair and make up artist, and have worked as a stylist, and in the art department. To date, my experience has crossed paths with film, TV, music videos, theatre, dance, fashion, and photography, and am always looking for new and exciting projects to take on! I specialize in period costume, but am also very familiar with fantasy, horror specific, and general every day wear.
My daily rate is the BECTU standard but I am open to negotiation.
I am friendly, extremely hard working, punctual, willing to travel, and absolutely taken by the collaborative process that thrives in film. My role, as a designer, is to facilitate the Director's vision and add that certain special something that brings costume to life as the secondary setting for a character. Clothes say something special about who we are, and I make it my life's work to add that subtext to your characters - making them well rounded and textured from all angles.
