Eyal Filkovsky

Hello there! My name is Eyal and I am a creative professional with a passion for music and digital media. With over a decade of experience in the industry, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from music videos, Shorts, Full Features, and commercials to live event production and audio engineering.

I was born in Israel and immigrated to the United States at the age of nine. Growing up, I had the opportunity to live in various states such as Long Island, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Maryland. I then went on to serve 6 years active duty in the United States Air Force, where I was stationed at various locations including Virginia, Colorado, South Korea, and Iraq.

Music has always been a big part of my life and I have had the opportunity to play drums in a cover band while I was in the Air Force and a few original bands in Colorado. I also have a lot of experience with digital media and am skilled in various programs such as Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Audition.

I am the founder and director of The Big Break, a creative venture that aims to support independent artists in their journey to success. The Big Break is divided into three main parts:

The first one is a battle-of-the-bands style competition that requires original acts to create their own homemade music videos which the public will view and vote for. The winners receive professionally-captured and produced audio, video, and photography content including live performance content, a full audio track recorded at Encore Studios, and a fully-produced music video. They're also welcomed back to The Big Break stage to headline the following season's finale show.

The second part of The Big Break is the Beyond the Break Podcast, which I also co-host and co-produce. The podcast welcomes guests who have stories to tell about all topics spanning the entertainment industry. The idea is to bring knowledge to our listeners in hopes to inspire them to create and be self-sufficient in their crafts.

The third part of The Big Break is the "In The BREAK ROOM" side-series, where we invite independent artists to perform a stripped-style music session. We advocate for original artistry as a focal point of everything we do, so creating a series that asks our performers to change things up and give us different versions of their original songs only seems right! Performances are held in an intimate setting with a live audience of just a select few listeners, allowing the artists to showcase a fresh unique type of playing.
