An African immigrant is kidnapped and forced to fight in illegal fights and plots his escape with allies.
Some is inspiration from Enter the Dragon, and I would like to pitch to Michael B. Jordan, or Spike Lee, or Jordan Peele.
SYNOPSIS:
BLACK DRAGON
John Nansu is an African immigrant, coming to America for a better life and a new job. One night he runs into a group of skinheads, and he fights them off having been trained in the Martial Arts in Africa. The incident is filmed but no charges filed against John but later that week is kidnapped. Taken to a secret location, John learns the reason is to fight for a crooked businessperson who runs illegal fight rings named Clifton Adler and is forced to do so, or he will be killed.
John can hold his own against several fighters including Harry, Joe and Will who become his allies and rivalry with Adler’s top fighter Marcus. John manages to defeat Marcus then fakes his way to the infirmary and discovers one of the attendees Terri is an undercover reporter who has found out about the illegal fights and reported them to the cops and that Will’s real name is Zane Dylan and is an undercover cop gathering information about them.
John and Zane help Teri escape while they are captured and forced to fight Marcus’s brother Brolly and another fighter but win. Adler sends other fighters including the gang of skinheads who took part in the fights and helped Adler find him and want revenge but Harry and Joe aid them and the police officers arrive.
John goes after Adler and fights him and in a grueling battle kills him and leaves with the cops who release him, after telling him where to find jobs which match his martial arts skills such as an instructor for Martial Arts, an informant for law enforcement or bodyguard.

Mike, are you telling me about another film? If so, never saw it.
But if you all like it, could you help me pitch it?

There were many similar films in the nineties. then the interest in them disappeared. if you refine the idea, make it more modern, I think such a film may have a chance to interest the audience.

I would like to pitch Michael B. Jordan, maybe he could help. After all this was inspired by Enter the Dragon which influenced the Dragon Ball franchise. Akira Toriyama was a fan of the movie.
