His recent feature-length screenplay, ‘SHADOW IN HAWTHORN BAY,’ was a finalist in the Golden Script International screenwriting Competition 2024.

He is currently researching and writing his second screenplay, SKALLAGRIM ICE-WASTER (A tale of Antarctica), based on the critically acclaimed dystopian novel by John Calvin Batchelor, 'THE BIRTH OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF ANTARCTICA.'

Steven's writing interests lean heavily on period films, the supernatural, and ancient mythology.

Unique traits: Steven is an avid adventure traveller – think Antarctica, Iceland, Scandinavia, Argentina/Chile/Patagonia, the Canadian Rockies & Alaska; he enjoys hiking, sailing, guitars/mandolins, motorcycles, dog sledding and cooking inventive comfort food - "2011 Central Canada's Chili Champion."
