By David Dicaire

GENRE: Animation
LOGLINE:

When Mother Goose is falsely accused of murdering Humpty Dumpty, she hires her nephew Inspector Cluck and his faithful sidekick Little Chick, who have twenty-four hours to clear her name.

SYNOPSIS:

On his morning stroll, Peter the Pumpkin Eater discovers Humpty Dumpty splattered on the sidewalk. He sounds the town bell, which awakens Little Boy Blue, who grabs his horn and leads the parade of nursery rhyme characters to the scene of the incident. In the ensuing confusion, Mother Goose is accused of pushing the town’s wealthiest citizen off the wall and is incarcerated. She sends for her nephew, the clever Inspector Cluck, and his faithful sidekick, Little Chick.

The inspector and Little Chick arrive and perform their preliminary work. They conclude that Humpty Dumpty didn’t fall but was pushed, making it murder. In the courtroom, they disclose their findings, and the investigation begins. Under Eggville law, they have twenty-four hours to solve the case. Right from the start, someone makes it abundantly clear that the Inspector and Little Chick are not welcomed as they try and kill the duo.

The two detectives soon discover that everyone had a solid motive to commit the crime and is skittish about being questioned. This creates a number of chases that force the inspector and his sidekick to be very resourceful in order to eliminate suspects from the list of potential candidates. Just as they are on the verge of solving the crime, they are blindsided and set up for a horrible demise.

But they escape and manage to make it to the courthouse to reveal the guilty party. But the criminals escape, and the Inspector and Super Chick chase them down. In a hair-raising, fast-paced finale, the detective duo pull out everything from their bag of tricks to capture the real criminal clearing Mother Goose of all charges.
