About Sophie
Sophie Hessekiel is an LA-based, New York-bred writer who tells stories about the power struggles of women and outsiders in weird, outlandish worlds. Sophie was featured on The Tracking Board's 2021 Next List. She was most recently writers' assistant on THE CLEANING LADY for Fox, where she co-wrote episode 207. She has also worked as an assistant in writers' rooms for Netflix's FROM SCRATCH and AMC's KEVIN CAN F*** HIMSELF. Sophie is the author of the upcoming humor book, "POSITIVELY SQUISHMALLOWS." In her spare time, she enjoys falling off surfboards and trying to keep plants alive.
