I enjoy writing absurd comedy stories and characters -- probably more than a grown man should. It's therapy. Comedy tells the truth about who we are. No matter what happens, there's a higher perspective available; I prefer to take the one that makes people laugh and gives them hope. You're not alone -- we're all a little crazy and ridiculous. Why can't it be fun? I am married with two kids. It's messy and perfect.
This is a second career for me. In the military, I worked as a linguist for the NSA—pretty serious stuff. When I got out, I went back to school and earned an MFA in screenwriting for film & TV so that I could be as ridiculous as I wanted and still be taken seriously. Recently I completed an OWA for a TV pilot that I don't have the rights to, so my available work is limited to a couple of spec comedy features, a spec episode of New Girl, and a comedy TV pilot called Hillbilly Monk. Please clap.
