Gabriele Rossi is an Italian composer of music for film, theatre, opera and ballet.
His music is versatile according to the request but always contains a consistent research towards new techniques.
Music from his ballets has been performed from New York, to Stockholm and Venice.
He was invited to Sweden by the contemporary dance company "Norrdans" to collaborate on some project in which the music "Vernissage", "Windows" with excerpts from the Nutcracker and the children's show "Stor och liten" were appreciated.
Other ballets such as "Ballet Studio" and "Associazione Culturale Danza Venezia" have commissioned him several pieces to be choreographed. Some of the composed music continues to be systematically choreographed and performed.
He collaborates with various chamber ensembles both as a composer and as an arranger and transcriber of authors such as Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi and Debussy, but also Morricone, Cecilia Krull and Billie Eilish.
Gabriele was commissioned by the "Treviso Film Commission" for a pilot episode for a "Rai Fiction" series and then for a Docu-Film "Io Credo" Directed by "Lena".
The Luciano Vincenzoni Association invided him to arrange the theme of the film Malena (music by Morricone) for the “Luciano Vincenzoni Competition for Subjects and Music for Film”.
He wins a mention and the publication of the piece for the composition competition Filarmonici Friulani dedicated to Astor Piazzolla.
The A.Steffani Conservatory, in whitch he studied graduating with full marks and honors, invites for the annual christmas Concert asking for an orchestral arrangement of Caccini's Ave Maria for the Christmas Concert.
With the orchestra of the Conservatory Steffani and directed by Ivan Stefanutti, he staged the opera "L'Amante" at the Academic Theater of Castelfranco Veneto, taken from the play of the same name "The Lover's" by the Nobel Prize to literature A.Pinter.
