Giovanna Maddalena is the director of Masinafilm Limited, production company
film based in London. Born in Italy where she studied psychology at the University
"La Sapienza" in Rome. Her career as a filmmaker began in Sydney, Australia, after
graduating from the School of Visual Arts. Giovanna has extensive experience in the
film industry as a director, screenwriter, artistic director and producer. She has
worked in Sydney for over 10 years making films of various genres. During this
period she has acquired exceptional production management skills, and brought
her skills into her company business. Producer of : "Helga, Zeno, Silent Thoughts,
Mind Game, Long Black Night, I Heard", "The old East end Tonight" and many other projects also in different
roles. As a production designer she worked on the TV series "Underground",
and films " Phoenix", "Stolen", and "Dream Hacker".
Her work as a producer begins with identifying the best screenplay idea starting
from the conceptual phase, uniting all departments under one roof, collecting funds
and performing production until the film is completed in time within the budget set,
so that it is marketable and profitable. Her responsibilities are varied and may include
appointing the right crew and cast to the team leadership with responsibilities to
shape and direct the production. In fact, her goal is also to cultivate new talents and
create opportunities that allow the success of the company.
