Piera Van de Wiel LGBTQ+ Producer, Singer Song-Writer, Actor, and Screen-Writer. and Founder of her company Stronger With Music. She is passionate about social impact and how the creative economy can bring about change. She has performed at the United Nations Headquarters and Lincoln Center. Her music video campaign “Used” partnered with the Canadian Women’s Foundation and the United Nations Spotlight Initiative to End Violence Against Women and Girls. She has also been recognized by the Global Music Awards with the Listener Impact Silver Medal for “Come Back Home (Abaco Relief Song)”. She’s a fierce advocate for gender equality and lifting up LGBTQIA+ voices. Her filmmaking has driven her towards impactful work such as the #WithHer series with the UN Spotlight Initiative, and her narrative short film “Strip Clara” won Best Short Film at London TV and Film Awards, Best UK Short Film, Best Score at Female Voices Rock Film Festival, and Piera received a nomination for Best Actor at the Golden Door International Film Festival. Piera is also working alongside film director Adam Morse for his upcoming feature films, and she is currently in development of her new LGBTQ+ film, “Ostracised.” Piera was also named one of the Top 15 Artists Using Music for Human Rights alongside Bono, Sting and Alicia Keys.
