About Julia

Julia is a British national of Armenian and Macedonian descent. She prides herself on creating and signing onto content which inspires positive social change and is a staple of the independent queer film scene in Los Angeles. She is the creator, writer and star of critically-acclaimed, viral LGBTQ romcom GIRLS LIKE MAGIC, which boasts over 90 million views on Youtube. The series is being developed into a thirty minute comedy TV show with a studio in the UK. Julia stars as “beautiful, wordly stranger Mia” in feature film Good Kisser which had a fantastic festival run and was released on Netflix. She also stars in Sony-distributed, award-winning British horror flick Fox Trap in which she plays duplicitous Dina, took a supporting role as Kal Penn’s love interest in Better Off Single, and won a best supporting actress award for her portrayal of anger management patient Natalie, in festival favorite, Eulogilia. Julia also shines on stage, most notably starring in the World Premiere of The American Wife at Park Theatre, London where she wowed audiences with her emotional range and flawless American accent.
Julia is also a screenwriter and her scripts have placed at competitions including Austin Screenwriter’s Conference, Sundance Episodic Labs and The Screencraft Screenplay Competition. She’s fresh off directing her first short with co-director Rachel Paulson called “Fire, F*cking Fire” Starring Calico Cooper, Capri Campeau and Vico Ortiz which is expected to make a huge splash on the festival scene next. Julia has a double bachelors degree in English Literature and Philosophy and a Masters in Screen from the prestigious Central Saint Martin’s, London and is an alumni of Joan Scheckel's Filmmaking labs (2018-present.) Julia is represented by Bohemia Entertainment.
