Jeremy Casper

Hey everyone, I am a Midwest Boy through-and-through, but I live, love, and work in the Greater Los Angeles Area as a Film Professor by day and Writer/Director by night (...as well as holidays and weekends... and sometimes sick days).

I recently finished production on my first low/no budget feature film (Vacant House - 2012) as writer/director/producer. We are currently submitting to festivals and looking for distribution. Check out the trailer here:



I am currently in development on my next project - a horror short film to be shot this summer (2013) in the LA area. (I will soon be looking for tons of creative people for this project!)

In addition to filmmaking, I have a passion for teaching young filmmakers. I teach story structure at the LA Film Studies Center during the school year, and travel with the Global Short Film Network during my breaks to teach filmmaking to students around the world (Egypt, Ukraine, Ethiopia, New Zealand, and Australia). I am currently writing a book with my friend and teaching colleague on story structure for short films - which should be on shelves by the end of the year 2013.

I have shot many short films and music videos, written countless scripts, and helped develop (with my students) over 700 short films in the past six years. Filmmaking is just in my blood!
