I got into this business at age 55, after a 20 year career as a corporate Sales Executive and 15 more as a TV sports/news anchor/reporter/host. It has been a whirlwind ever since! My first booking, just a month into this journey, was for a cover spread for a national magazine and it has been "Katie bar the door" ever since! My acting resume reflects extensive commercial, corporate and independent film success, with several network co-star roles sprinkled in for good measure. Constantly taking classes, I recognize the need to ALWAYS MOVE FORWARD AND LEARN! Two significant things happened in my life when the pandemic set in in the spring of 2020. 1 - Seeking an acting community that wouldn't stop dead just because the industry had, I founded Actors' Think Tank, a group of committed actors from across the country that get together once a week via Zoom, usually with an industry guest, and 2- I slipped on my producer jacket and started dabbling in content creation, the most significant of which are a series pilot called "Workforce" and a soon-to-be-finished indie short called "Killing Hope". I've also provided support to other creatives in the making of their films. All in, I can work as a local hire in many markets, with places to stay in all of them!
