Mitchell Sam Rossi is an American novelist, award-winning screenwriter, and journalist. Growing up in the surf culture of his native of Southern California, he spent the majority of his youth in or on the sea.
After graduating from the University of Southern California in biology and journalism, Mitchell worked for the Los Angeles Times before becoming a full-time freelance magazine writer for various automotive magazines.
Mitchell returned to USC to earn his Master's degree in fiction and screenwriting.
He has had three novels traditionally published by Kensington Publishing in New York. He has written several feature screenplays, which have garnered best screenplay from the Moondance Film Festival and the Telluride IndieFest; a finalist with Scr(i)pt Magazine-Open Door Contest and honorable mention from Writer’s Digest Writing Competition.
His latest historical fiction novel will be published in the fall of 2023.
