SYNOPSIS:

A chemist mourning his dead wife produces a drug that can transport him to specific memories of their life together. Working by his side is his apprentice and niece who, upon learning what her uncle has accomplished, immediately sees the wider possibilities of such a drug. Under false pretenses, she convinces him to share the recipe and begins producing and trafficking the drug, but she underestimates one key component in her venture: human behavior. Users yearning to enjoy their chosen memory for longer and longer periods begin overusing the drug, causing them to become stuck in their dreams and, consequently, enter The Absence.
