About Evan

Hi everyone, happy to be here! By day, I am a school counselor at a small specialized private school. I love my job and enjoy impacting young lives daily. I've actually been able to teach a Screenwriting class too, which has been very fun! My undergrad degree was in film/screenwriting and I interned at Malcolm in the Middle back when tablets were made of stone. I co-wrote a documentary about refugees several years ago that's been screened worldwide. I am very proud of that project and the impact it's had. In addition to writing screenplays, I also record music and occasionally perform live. I am grateful for the opportunity with Stage 32 to connect with other writers and industry professionals. I think it's important for nuanced and thoughtful stories to be told in times of great division, so that is my aim with Kiki and Tay. I've enjoyed reading the other writers' loglines - such great ideas! Thank you for having me and best of luck to all.
