I have a BA in biology and Japanese, but my greatest passion, storytelling, led me to pursue an MFA in screenwriting at LMU. I like to use the visual and visceral strengths of sci-fi and horror to externalize struggles like mental illness, grief, and heartbreak, exploring how my characters can find healing and acceptance along the way.
I also have experience as the Director of Photography of an upcoming indie feature film and television pilot.
Some stories that creatively inspire me: Blade Runner, Vertigo, Black Swan, Solaris, Pan's Labyrinth, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Haunting of Hill House, Cowboy Bebop, The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Poor Things, Persona, Drive My Car, TÁR, Mirror, The Red Shoes, Great Freedom, The Three Colors Trilogy, All of Us Strangers...
