About Angus
I am an Scottish singer actor, author and songwriter living in Paris. I write and perform soulful acoustic Pop, Folk & Americana, either solo, with full band, or as a trio with violin and cajon.
My songs have already been used for film, notably in the full-length movie Soul Guys, available on Amazon Prime since 2019, starring SammyBlue , Ronnie Hicks and Dobet Gnahoré . I also played a support role in this movie. I have been told often by experienced professionals in the business that my original music is very film-friendly“ and could have a lot of potential in this format.
I would say I am a singer capable of winning over many types of audiences with solid performance skills and more than a hundred original compositions. I am looking for new avenues as a singer/songwriter, but above all wish to pursue the possibility that my music might be used by others, in TV or film soundtracks, hence my presence here on Stage 32!
My style is a mix of acoustic British Pop & new wave 80s (XTC, Paul Weller, Joh Martyn, Peter Gabriel... ), with American Country (Counting Crow, James Taylor, Simon & Garfunkel, Tom Petty... )
Unique traits: Distinctive voice, with natural stage presence and an easy-going, engaging demeanour
