SYNOPSIS:

Makaya returns to Kiwoko, a once-thriving rural town now overtaken by modern development and haunted by unsettling changes. His journey back home to reconcile with his past quickly turns into a desperate fight to clear his name after he is wrongfully accused of murdering his childhood bully, Mustafa With the help of Aisha, a childhood friend who stayed behind, Makaya delves into the town’s secrets. Together, they uncover a chilling conspiracy linking the disappearances of children and the murder of Mustafa to powerful figures in the town, who engage in sacrificial rituals to appease ancient spirits known as the Kalisa. As Makaya and Aisha gather evidence to expose the truth, they are pulled deeper into a world of corruption, supernatural danger, and personal conflict. Their investigation puts them at odds with the entire community, and even as they gather the evidence needed to bring the conspirators to justice, they struggle with their growing feelings for each other, amidst the grief of Aisha’s recent loss and the scrutiny of the townsfolk. Ultimately, their bravery unravels the dark web of deceit that has gripped Kiwoko, leading to the arrest of the town's most powerful men. Though the mystery is solved, whispers of the Kalisa linger, suggesting that the ancient forces may still be watching. Makaya chooses to stay in Kiwoko, determined to rebuild the town and his life alongside Aisha, in a delicate balance between love, justice, and the shadows of the past.
