Michael Ritter is a film producer. He most recently served as VP, Film & Television Development at Street Entertainment, the company behind blockbuster films such as “2012,” “Independence Day: Resurgence,” and “Midway,” where he oversaw development, production, business affairs, financing, licensing, marketing and distribution for all of the company’s film and TV projects.
He was pivotal in closing over $280 million in financing for films such as Lionsgate’s “Moonfall” and TV shows such as Peacock’s upcoming historical epic “Those About to Die,” for which he serves as Co-Producer.
Originally from Germany and of half-Filipino descent, Ritter brings a unique blend of Asian-European perspectives to his work, seeking to foster genre-agnostic stories about identity and virtues to create intimate stories on an epic scale. He is based in Los Angeles and holds a bachelor’s degree in film and television production from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts.
