About Amin

Amin is an actor and award-winning short filmmaker based in Melbourne, VIC, Australia. He has been making short films since age 13, being "The Bad Dreams", "The Briefcase Incident" and "Where is it???".

Amin Produced a scary (Co-acted) and also a Quarantine (Did not act) short film called "The Dark Figure" (2020) and "Secluded"(2021), which has won several awards and has been nominated in a series of festivals including best cinematography, best director, best performance, and best film in 2020 and 2021.

He has a younger brother named Matin Yekta, an actor, who has starred in all of his films. He has used Smartphone as his main source of Photography in his narratives as they are "efficient and cheap" [Ref. Dublin Smartphone Film Festival; 2021].

In June, 2023, he is continuing on studying filmmaking, acting, and screenwriting and working on a screenplay for an unknown short film.

He also recently wrapped in a project called "Melted" (2023/24) Directed by Erfan Behzadnia.

He is currently in production for a Short Film, called "The Kangaroo Way".
