Emily is a stinky old man trapped in a young—okay, young-ish—woman’s body.
When your beloved grandpa owns a bar as a front for his real job, the only Ukrainian bookie in Chicago’s Italian mob, you just sorta gravitate toward bowling alleys, stale beer, and oversized sweaters that smell like mildew.
Grandpa also made sure Em played sports. She was a fastpitch softball pitcher, a tennis player, and a volleyball beast, AKA she was always busy and sweaty. Some things never change.
Emily’s professional life began in reporting. She was the editor of her college paper, then a news reporter for a daily paper in Wisconsin and a writer for Associated Press. But guess what? News is depressing. So she moved to New York, interned at The Colbert Report, got a waitressing job in Times Square, and started standup comedy. Which, upon consideration, is also depressing. But less!
These days Emily lives in LA, where she still does standup. She also runs a New York Times recommended, 64-comedian, bracket-style joke contest called One Liner Madness that travels the country finding the best joke writer in every city.
Emily's professional writing credits include: Nickelodeon's "That Girl Lay Lay", NPR's "Ask Me Another," E!'s "Cash At Your Door," The New York Times top 10 piece "I Got Rejected 101 Times," several pieces for The New Yorker's Daily Shouts, and Glamour.
Her unprofessional credits include: She once ate a beetle out of the carpet 'cause she thought it was a Raisinet.
Last Call Other ⋄ Comedy In this light, hour-long procedural, a failed TV writer moves back to the Midwest and becomes an inadvertent death doula, making terminal clients' final wishes come true.
Tubular Comedy A pair of siblings who own rival river tubing companies must band together when Big Tube comes to town.
The Island of Dead Billionaires Comedy Lord of the Flies. With billionaires.
Bride and Doom Horror An incel obsessed with a bride-to-be goes on a killing spree during a secluded wedding weekend in the woods, testing the young couple's trust and devotion.
The Old Ball Game Sports ⋄ Comedy In 1910, baseball was a young, exciting, work in progress… just like 21-year-old Minnie Cooke, a baseball visionary in a man’s world. When Minnie creates the opportunity to run a team via a male stand-in, Oscar, the pair transforms the sport into America's pastime.
Hard, Dead, Nazi Dick Historical ⋄ Comedy A darkly comedic coming of age story based on real, Dutch teenaged sisters who seduced and murdered Nazis during WWII.
