This is a true story about relentless determination and the magic of love.

After losing her mother, and abandoned to die by her stepmother, a tough little Himalayan girl struggles to survive outdoors, while 10,000 miles away a New England couple, having lost their son, deal with profound grief. Trekking in Nepal, the couple discover the little girl, bring her home to America, and make her whole, as she makes them whole.

This is the screenwriter’s own family story; he has the full rights.  A child loses her family, a family loses a child, and from across the world they come together.

SYNOPSIS:

The odyssey includes a law absolutely forbidding adoptions, Nepal's prime minister, First Lady Hillary Clinton, A powerful U.S. Senator, a forgery, a planned kidnapping, and other dramatic events. The girl is now our beautiful 32-year-old daughter.
