A screenwriter, having fled Hollywood in the '80s for the comfort and solitude of Santa Fe, New Mexico, I now find myself interested in the flourishing streaming services that appear to be ravenous for content. And that is what I have - content. Novels calling out to be films and film scripts calling out to be made.
Yes, I'm an old fart - but hey, there might be a little experience and wisdom mixed in there somewhere.
In 1972 I had a play presented in the New Theatre For Now series at the Mark Taper Forum. It was a play about Aubrey Beardsley and, for some reason, I only had a response from some folks who wanted me to rewrite a low-budget horror film. I didn't quite get the connection and, since I was still living in London at the time - I declined.
Then once in Santa Fe, I turned to writing novels and ghost-writing gay romance, and Regency romance novels. I consider myself a genre-bending author. I like to take a genre and play around with it. Makes for an interesting brew.
