It’s often said that the best film editing is the kind that seems invisible. This is the foundation of my editing style - to aim for the cleanest cuts with the sharpest edge. With proper cut timing, following of action, and a little creativity with sound, even a simple shot-reverse-shot can contain truly profound possibilities.
With that ideology as a base, one can expand tastefully into some truly transcendent and deeply compelling filmmaking.
I’m eager to explore these possibilities with collaborations big and small, as I believe that with such a foundation, any project can be a great one - and I have a professional (almost moral) duty to help bring that greatness out.
