I started my entertainment career as a local rapper in Tallahassee. I made a hit song called 'Lotta Cheese' with T-Pain in 2003. I earned enough money to enrolled back in school after releasing the song so I finished my AA from Tallahassee Community College in the Spring of 2010. From there I transferred to Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University's School of Journalism and Graphic Communication in the Fall of 2010 where I earned my bachelors degree in broadcast journalism. This accomplishment would have not happen without the blessing of Dean Hawkins (RIP). He didn't have to let a local rapper into his accredited journalism program, but he did and I'm forever indebted to him.
After graduating from the SJGC in 2012 I had three job offers. The first job offer was a sports producer position in Spokane, Washington where I would've been responsible for writing the sports block. I decided not to take the job because it was too far from Florida and I didn't want to be the only black person at the news station. The second job offer was working as an communication agent for a marketing company in New York City. I never wanted to be in marketing. Ultimately, the job offer I ended up accepting was a multimedia journalist position with WTXL-ABC 27. I worked there for two months and left shortly after because the news director and I thought my production company Spencer R. Henderson Films was a conflict of interest.
I was without a job from November to April of 2013. Which is when my production company started to take off. I created a documentary series called 'The Show Will Go On' and I directed and produced four movies within a four-year period and separated myself from any documentarian from Tallahassee, Florida.
The Show Will Go On, "The 125th Anniversary" - a documentary about FAMU Football's experience in 2012 without the Marching 100.
The Show Will Go On II, "The 100 Is Back" - a documentary about the return of the Marching 100 after a hazing suspension in 2012.
The Show Will Go On III, "After The Heisman" - a documentary about Jameis Winston's final season after winning the Heisman Trophy in 2013.
The Show Will Go On IV, "Before The Draft" - a documentary about Dalvin Cook's record breaking season before he gets drafted to the Minnesota Vikings.
The Tallahassee Film Swiss Army Knife, came recently as my community recognized me for being a director, voice over talent, videographer, editor in all of my documentary movies.
