Matthew Camfield

Matthew Camfield is a Northampton based Screenwriter, Director and Production Designer. Previously working for 16 years in the digital design industry he has picked up an eclectic set of skills throughout his life.

After being made redundant at the start of the COVID pandemic, Matthew juggled whatever jobs he could to get by, until at the age of 33, mixing his skills in cosplay with carpentry, Matthew took a massive career change, turning production designer and film maker. Dabbling at first in short 48 hour film contests, believing he didn't have the ability to write dialogue he initially called upon other writers to realise his concepts, a few shorts later honing his skills as a screenwriter and director he has since written, directed, produced & production designed over 13 short films from comedy to horror, learning even more along the way.
