About Timothy

With over 20 years-experience in the industry, Timothy Kuryak has written, developed, produced and overseen thousands of hours of content for streaming, broadcast, cable and digital networks here in the United States and abroad.

Timothy began writing in 2019, and the first script he wrote, Dashing Home for Christmas premiered on UPtv in November 2020. Since then, he has written Loving Christmas for ReelOne and Lifetime, Melting My Heart for Hallmark and Merry Text-mas for Lifetime. His most recent film, Where Are You, Christmas?, premiered in 2023 and was named by Variety as one of the Top 25 Hallmark Christmas Movies of all time. He is currently writing a new feature for Vortex Productions to premiere in 2024.

Outside of features, he has written a number of scripts for digital platforms including Vanity Fair’s Live “After the Oscars” and Amazon Live’s Treasure Truck Events, giving voice to a wide variety of talent and experts from Kelly Rowland to Lucy Hale. He also wrote a series on rituals for the Headspace meditation app, and wrote all the host copy for UP Faith & Family’s app, providing instructions for how to use the streaming service, highlighting certain titles and features to make viewing easier and more enjoyable.

Timothy is an Emmy-Award nominated executive, having overseen production and development of content for a variety of cable networks, including UPtv, TLC, OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, Aspire and Planet Green. As an Executive Producer, he’s been responsible for such hits as Who Do You Think You Are? (Emmy nomination), Little People, Big World, What Not to Wear, Say Yes to the Dress and Toddlers & Tiaras, the international adaptations of Beauty & the Geek, The Simple Life and Temptation Island as well as feature documentaries, Serving Life and Letters to Jackie.

Timothy began his career on Broadway, working for producer Cameron Mackintosh as the Resident Director of Les Misérables on Broadway and the National Tour.

Timothy is a graduate of Brown University, and a member of the Producers' Guild of America and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
