Hey I’m Brendan. I'm a New York based Editor and Assistant Editor with nearly a decade of experience in advertising and digital films. I specialize in short form commercial work. My specialties are short form documentary style, quick-paced sport/fitness spots, and branded content. I pride myself on being able to adapt to any style when the opportunity arises. I work in Premiere, Avid, Resolve and After Effects. I’ve been fortunate to work with brands like Coach, Amazon, The Wall Street Journal, Sotheby’s, Clinique, Russell Stover, SoulCycle, Rumble, and Equinox.
What sets me apart is my ability and desire to be involved in every step of the process. I have worked in structured post house environments, so I understand the workflows and standards when it comes to breakdowns, prep, and organization. I have also worked in a more independent manner, cutting jobs where I was a one-man band. This combination gives me a unique perspective on the post process and has helped me shape a unique editing style. I have valuable practice in client relationships, delivering complex projects on tight deadlines, and collaborating with creative teams. I continue to have a desire to learn and I am always energized by the opportunity to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation.
I grew up in middle-of-nowhere Maryland and spent a lot of time watching movies and music videos (pour one out for MTV). One day I realized you can actually make that stuff as a job and here we are. I studied at the observatory film program at Sacred Heart University, where I was able to collaborate with professional directors and editors and soak up their knowledge. I now live in Astoria, Queens, but still can't turn down crab cakes and football. I hope you enjoy my work and we have the opportunity to create something together. Hit me up!
