About Terri

Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, I am a hopeless romantic who specializes in crafting screenplays focused on romance and depicting the lives and relationships of women aged 50 and above. I see this chapter of life as a wellspring of unique experiences, offering rich inspiration for my storytelling.

I have undertaken a range of educational opportunities in the realms of screenwriting, television, film, and acting across institutions such as UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, and CSU Northridge. I've participated in webinars focusing on Christmas movies led by screenwriters/directors Isabel Dréan and Christine Conradt, as well as engaged in extensive coursework at UCLA with screenwriters Cindy Davis and Will Hasley. I continue to participate in screenwriting coursework at UCLA and other sources, always seeking to improve my craft.  Notably, I have been awarded a scholarship to The Good Word Writer's Retreat in Greece, where I will have the opportunity to be mentored by Audrey Knox this year.

I hold three college degrees in psychology and have a professional background as both a teacher and school psychologist. I've been honored with the Human Rights award from the California Teachers Association. My scripts often include elements of emotional well-being, personal-empowerment, inclusivity, and diversity, reflecting my extensive experience in these areas. My career has equipped me with valuable skills applicable to screenwriting, such as collaborative prowess, effective time management, and meeting tight deadlines.

I eagerly anticipate those moments each day when I can immerse myself into the creative realm of screenwriting, accompanied by my faithful canine companion, Monet.
