About Romy

I'm an NYC based Actor/Writer/Producer. I believe in the power of storytelling and bringing light to our shared human condition. The arts display and challenge the soul of a people with all it's darkness and light. Romy is an NYC based actor, playwright/screenwriter and audiobook narrator. Television appearances include Guest and Co-Starring roles on Manifest (NBC), Bull (CBS), FBI (CBS) Law and Order (Officer Talbor) (NBC) and numerous independent features. Romy recently performed her original solo show GARDEN OF ALLA about silent screen star Alla Nazimova, to critical acclaim at The Kennedy Center, Theatre West Los Angeles, Players Club, Dixon Place, 59E59, the Edinburgh Fringe, The Cutting Room, Theatre 50, Theaterlab amongst many other theatre's across the country. Nominations for Garden of Alla include LA’s Robby Awards (Best Actress/Alongside Elizabeth McGovern) and Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle. Some other playwriting credits include “Blindsided”, “Amazing Grace”, “Lipshtick”, “The Feeling Part”. Filming has just wrapped for her short film based on “The Feeling Part” in which she also plays the lead role. She is the recipient of the 2024 LMCC Grant for her newest screenplay ‘Mother Of All Choices.’ Some Off-Broadway credits include Ginger in Lancelot by Steven Fechter (The Woodsman) Shakespeare's Slave at the Clurman and Caligula at The Kirk Theatre Row. Regionally she's performed at Actors Theatre Of Lousiville, Wilma; Shubert amongst many others. She voiced the role of Edna Hoffman in Florence Foster Jenkins directed by Stephen Frears and starring Meryl Streep, and many diverse roles, from grandma to geisha in China's highest grossing international blockbuster Monster Hunt, by the creators of Shrek. She has recorded over 370 Audiobooks. Member of the League Of Professional Theatre Women, New York Women in Film and Television and The Dramatists Guild. Graduate of The University Of The Arts.
