Mark Baranowski

A struggling screenwriter in 1999, Mark Baranowski became a truly independent filmmaker by 2001, after taking the advice of Bruce Campbell via a friendly email he received from the actor during that 2-year period: "Don't look to anyone else to fulfill your dreams... Become a producer and shoot your own films!" With the assistance of only his wife, he created the 30-minute short film DESPAIR, shot in their apartment using a VHS-C camcorder over a period of 8 hours. Only two months later, the film was distributed by Seduction Cinema, as an extra on their latest DVD release, "Roxanna."
Ten years after such humble beginnings, Mark has just completed his tenth production, HARDLY BELOVED.
