About J.R.
I'm a Los Angeles-based filmmaker, originally from New York City. I was inspired to enter this field, after watching introspective films like Taxi Driver and Rocky; and movies filled with character-driven spectacle like Interstellar and Jaws. I have directed and produced a diverse collection of feature films and shorts, and even a talk show. More recently, I just directed, wrote and produced my third feature film "A Trip Elsewhere," which is currently circulating in festivals. Thus far, it will play at festivals in Barcelona and Athens over the next several months.
