About Caitlin

I am a wildlife cinematographer and ocean explorer based in San Antonio, Texas. I have been working at sea on ocean exploration vessels since 2016, operating cameras on remotely operated vehicles and filming topside. I also edit and produce short films about the natural world, particularly the deep sea.
I am also a National Geographic Explorer. I work as a DIT and camera assistant with National Geographic's Pristine Seas and am an Expert with National Geographic Expeditions. I received training and mentorship through National Geographic's Field Ready Program to work on broadcast natural history productions. I also received a grant from National Geographic Society to create a short film and photo series about the Texas Horned Lizard Reintroduction Project at San Antonio Zoo.
At Stage 32, I am looking for opportunities to grow my skills as a cinematographer. I am interested in long lens, gimbal, drone, and underwater cinematography. My goal is to be a directory of photography on blue chip natural history productions for National Geographic and BBC.
