About Olivier

Since 1990, Olivier Lliboutry has been composing mostly for cinema, short films, animation, TV series and documentaries, writing for full symphonic orchestras with choirs and world music soloists, as well as chamber orchestras, bands or electronic scores.
He has worked in France, Europe, French Polynesia, USA, China, Thailand, South America, Middle East and Africa.

The last feature he composed music for, Kiss of the Con Queen, a true crime saga, won Best International Feature Film Award on its World Premiere at the 19th Annual Sunscreen Film Festival in St Petersburg, Florida, USA, in April 2024. (Score shared with Ollie Howell)
Lovely debut short film NOCE D'EAU, by Aurielle JIOYA, a surnatural love story set in Benin, Africa, was in selected at the Clermont Ferrand 2024 short film festival. A France-Benin-Canada production.

French born, he began studying classical violin at age 5, and later on, piano and harmony.
At 16, he embraced pioneering electronic music and entered Pierre Schaeffer's class of electro-acoustic music composition at the "Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris".
In 1985, he left for Los Angeles where he spent seven years studying and improving in musical arrangements, jazz and film scoring, between "Grove School of Music", "U.C.L.A.", and the B.M.I. sponsored Film Music Workshop and composing his first film scores.
Back in France, he entered a three year course studying at the "Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris", to complete his classical training in Conducting, Composition, Counterpoint & Fugue, Piano, and Musicology.
He graduated in 1985, 1988 and 1998 in Composition, Arranging, Film Scoring and Conducting.
