Nikoleta Jani

Nikoleta grew up in Greece, working as a professional photographer before embarking on a move to the United States. Traveling abroad for the first time without speaking any English, she was driven by her desire to live the American dream and become an au pair. During her two years as an au pair, Nikoleta and her friends often discussed the real truths of their experiences, which inspired her to write about them. Through her writing, she aims to capture the diverse perspectives of au pairs, from uplifting to heartbreaking stories, and hopes readers will understand the challenges of leaving everything behind to serve another family. Despite the hardships, she would do it all over again.
