Jon Weisberg recently joined Stage 32 after a productive career as an attorney for a Fortune 200 public company. As a screenwriter, Jon has written three feature scripts and a one-hour TV pilot.
His first script, "Tough Choices," is a coming-of-age drama about a young attorney who must choose between climbing a promising career ladder and helping aging parents cope with a series of health setbacks. With baby-boomers in their 60s-80s, this is a question many people and families are grappling with now. Society is even more focused on this question after enduring the trauma of COVID a few short years ago.
His one hour TV pilot, "Unnatural Causes," is a procedural thriller about the quest of a gifted but troubled psychiatrist who risks her new job, her shaky mental health, and her personal safety to convince her skeptical boss and dismissive cops that eerily similar elder deaths in swanky retirement communities are not simply "old people dying," but rather the handiwork of a serial killer.
His third script, "Glory Days," is a coming-of-age roller-coaster ride of thrills and disappointments during an intense first semester of uncertainty, self-discovery, and adjustment, documented by a resident's freshman film project. It is particularly relevant now, as many young people and their parents question whether the benefits of college are worth the time, cost and energy college exacts.
